It's no wonder that art galleries have featured in so many romantic novels and films, from Manhattan to Some Kind of Wonderful.
Now it is the turn of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery to play cupid to singletons spending Valentine's Day alone.
On February 15, Birmingham Museum will hold Singles Night, offering a range of ice-breakers from music to gallery tours and a bar from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
We can't guarantee that you will meet Mr or Ms Right, although it has been known to happen at one of our events," says a Birmingham Museum spokeswoman. "But you will certainly enjoy an evening in the company of like minded individuals in the opulent surroundings of our beautiful Round Room."
Four piece band Agent Smith provide a soundtrack on the night in the Round Room, while singer Deborah Rose and pianist Martin Riley add atmosphere to the Pre-Raphaelite Galleries.
Tickets cost £10 each. Advanced booking is essential. Buy tickets from Gas Hall Reception, call 0121 303 1966 or book online at The Ticket Website.
