Queensgate Indoor Market is one of the landmarks of Huddersfield, and it houses some awesome stalls/shops.



One my favourite hidden gems of Huddersfield's Queensgate Indoor Market is Simon's Pick'n'Mix.

With over 150 different kinds of sweets, there's something to please everyone; from childhood favourites like gummy bears, to grown-up treats including salted liquorice and rum balls, classics like fudge and chocolate buttons, and even local specialities such as Pontefract cakes.



Their prices start at just 74p per 100g, with an even better rate of 69p per 100g if you buy 500g, there's really no comparison - absolutely the best price for sweets in town.



My family love to visit Simon's before a trip to the cinema. They are far more affordable and also have better quality sweets than the standard Candy King stands that you find in cinemas or at supermarkets, as well as so much more choice - to the point that we're often more excited about the trip to the market than the trip to the cinema itself!

To top it off, the staff are always friendly and helpful, willing to weigh your bag multiple times so you can get it just right, and there are plenty of clean scoops and bowls for the sweets so nothing gets mixed together.



Be aware that they do only take cash, but there is a cashpoint just outside the market at the newsagents if you need it.
