Anglo Russian Singer Has Fans Including Kylie
With fans including Kylie Minogue, Anglo-Russian singer and producer Shura is embarking on a UK tour with her electronic pop sound.
Anglo-Russian singer Shura has attracted attention with her early singles.
Shura, who has attracted attention for singles 2Shy, Touch and now her latest release White Light, has been gaining momentum after her music featured on Annie Mac's Radio 1 show.
She will gig until December 8 at intimate venues including The Oobleck in Digbeth, Birmingham and Gorilla in Manchester before a finale at Nottingham's Rescue Rooms.
The tour comes on the back of appearances at festivals including Field Day, Latitude, Festival No.6, Bestival and Reading & Leeds over the summer.
Shura is heading to Birmingham and Manchester on her UK Tour.
Born in London to a Russian actress and raised in Manchester, the singer also showed a talent for sport, playing for Manchester City Girls team for five years.
Moving into music, Shura counts influences including her "dad's prog vinyl", her brother's drum-and-bass DJ-ing and her experience on the acoustic open-mic circuit.
Out of that have come songs such as White Light, about being different and unique, and Touch, about the time after a break-up. Touch went on to be nominated for the BBC Sound Poll award.
