Sleep Later, Beat Cancer Now

Are you ready to trample on top of cancer, and give it a kick up the behind? Then get out of bed, swap your PJs for luminous trousers, and march across the streets of London.

Cancer Research's Shine Night Walk is a massive fundraising event to take place on the 27th September. The entry fee is 35 to cover the cost of running the event, and you can choose between a full (26.2 miles) or half (13.1 miles) marathon.

This year's walk will start from Southwark Park and finish at Old Billingsgate. You are encouraged to wear bright clothing and accessories, such as lights, glow sticks, reflective tape, or neon face paint, and make sure to carry plenty of water.

The walk is non-competitive, so feel free to go at your own pace. Power walkers are likely to complete a full marathon within six hours, striders within nine hours, and trollers within twelve hours.
