Movie night is a monthly-occurence at Holloway Circus, where Journey Film Club shows a variety of gripping, thought-provoking films, from small independents to Hollywood blockbusters. The organisers are a group of volunteers who hand pick every film for the audience.
The most-gripping film, which they're showing is Shank. I remember the first time I watched this film, it was a little surprising. I didn't read the blurb, and thought it was a typical 'gangster' film about the youth groups in London. I was, however, mistaken.
Shank is a fantastic coming-out film, and Journey Film Club only do it justice by hosting movie night and sharing the poignant film with LGBT supporters.
This is a free event, however a small donation is very welcome (but if not you won't get turned away). Kick off your shoes and enjoy a rather intense film with like-minded people, who love a good film.
Doors open 6.45pm, film at 7pm on Tuesday prompt with a donation towards the refreshments (optional).
