Get ready to ditch the pencils and embrace the glow sticks, or at least, something similarly illuminating. The 'Sensory Friendly: Design and Draw with Light' event is having its monthly outing, inviting neurodiverse folks of all ages and their accompanying humans to get properly creative. This session is all about exploring the wonderfully cosy concept of 'home' through the magic of light. You will be messing about with projections, fabrics, and even UV lights, designing, building, and drawing with beams of joy. Expect to get your hands on a variety of art materials to conjure up some truly colourful light magic, playing with shadows, reflections, and all sorts of bright ideas.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by all that brilliance. No worries, there are a couple of excellent chill out zones on hand. One is right there in the thick of it, and another is just a short stroll away. Both are wonderfully equipped with a blackout tent, some seriously comfy cushions for maximum flopping, a collection of sensory toys, and ear defenders for when you need a bit of quiet from the world. Remember, participation is entirely optional, so no pressure to perform. You can mosey on in any time between 11am and 4pm. Just give them a rough idea of your preferred arrival slot, whether you are an early bird between 11am and 1:30pm or a late bloomer between 1:30pm and 4pm, when you book your ticket.
