Camden Barfly is a nightclub on Chalk Farm Road that promotes emerging music artists. It has helped many now well-known bands make a name for themselves, including Coldplay, The Scissor Sisters, and The Killers.
On the 29th May, they might had some new bands to the list of future stars, as they welcome SED Records headline act, Hornet. With more attitude than your average band, this punky quartet has had multiple sellout shows with their heavy metal performances. Their debut album, Skies Are Falling, has recently been released.
Hornet will be joined by SKAM, a rock band formed three years ago by guitarist, Steve Hill, and his friends Matt Gilmore and 'X-Ray'. Having played in every major UK city, and over two hundred and fifty gigs under their belt, they have been dubbed the 'Leicester Legends'.
If you like getting drunk on music, then you should come and listen to Whisky Blood. Inspired by 1980s hard rock, they have 'set out to reignite the spirit, passion and energy of classic hard rock, draggin it kickin and screaming past a stale, diluted music scene into a new generation of raw, debaucherous rock n' roll.'
Doors open at 7.30pm, and tickets are £10 or £8 in advance.
