The Royal College of Art's Secret Postcard event is a chance for you to bag a postcard by a famous international artist.
The 'secret' part is that you won't know who created your postcard until after you've bought it (each artist signs the back of their card). So whether you end up with a collector's item or a simply a delightful looking piece of art perfect for sticking on the mantelpiece really is down to Lady Luck unless, of course, you're well versed in the styles of artists working today.

In recent years, postcards for the sale have been created by the likes of Tracey Emin, Grayson Perry, Yoko Ono, Olafur Eliasson, Sir Peter Blake and John Baldessari. RCA alumni and postgraduates also contribute to the Secret Postcard event.
More than 2,000 postcards will go on show at the RCA's Dyson Building in Battersea for nine days from 14th March, giving you a chance to choose your favourites in advance of the day of sale Saturday 23rd March.
Each postcard costs £45 so a tad more than your average saucy seaside offering with each visitor permitted to purchase a maximum of four. To have a chance of getting your hands on a card, you'll first need to register for an RCA Secret Collector's Number here.
As with every Secret Postcard event held by the RCA, all proceeds go towards hardship bursaries provided through the RCA Fine Art Student Award Fund. This valuable fundraising event helps to ensure that talented artists from all strata of society can study at the RCA and continue on to fulfil their potential.

Whether or not you intend to splash out £45 on one of the works of art, this free exhibition will still be worth a couple of hours of your time, so why not pop along to see what's on offer. Alternatively, this year's postcards can also be viewed online here from 14th March.
