Contact on Oxford Road, the ultimate student street in Manchester, is hosting an event like no other. Specifically this is the launch of Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transexual (LGBT) talent in the north.
If you didn't quite get that, on the 6th of February it's the free launch of their season LGBT festival party.
Running from 4 - 9 February, Queer Contact brings together the best in LGBT art, music, comedy, poetry dance and drama. Events include Comedy Playground, a night of the best queer comedy from the likes of Paul Sinha and Debra-Jane Appleby; Mother's Ruin: Who's Got The Max Factor?, a talent show like no other as ten north west acts try to win the votes of the judges; and a special finale starring Bourgeois & Maurice in their show We Started A Band.
The night will also be the launch of three exhibitions - Rachel Adams' The Modern Lesbian; Malc Stone's Tranchester; and a new exhibition from Blank Media Collective.
Sounds good no? You must RSVP, or you won't get a ticket, and the free launch is going to be packed, so get your tickets while they're still available.
