Season Cookery School at Lainston House have a fun family cooking class that parents and kids can join in together. The Crepe Craziness class takes place during the February half term holidays on the best day for it - Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day, on February 13th.
Season Cookery School's children's classes are designed to be enjoyed by a parent and child. Tickets are £95 and this covers both participants. Cooking together is a fun experience, and it means that it's even easier to use the skills you learn in the class at home. Tickets can be booked online.
At the Crepe Craziness class you'll learn how to master a range of different pancakes and crepes, both sweet and savoury varieties. These could include French galettes, or stacks of thick American hot cakes. As well as learning different tips for making the perfect pancakes, like the perfect stove top temperature or the right whisking techniques, you'll also get recipes to take and make at home. Kids will also get their own apron to keep so they can continue their culinary enthusiasm at home.
The class starts at 9:30am and runs until 1:30pm, but it's recommended you arrive their at 9am. This gives you and your child a chance to familiarise yourself with the kitchen space, meet the chef, and meet the other families that are going to be cooking with you today.
