Looking for something different to do in London? Then one of the biggest indoor aquariums might just be the thing for you, and with it being indoors too - there's no relying on the British weather to see you through! Situated on London's iconic Southbank, you really couldn't find a more central location for this famous attraction that sees thousands visit annually.
Just the norm here at the Aquarium, a shark sighting
But what exactly is there to expect? Well, with plenty of sea creatures to see you'll never get bored - from the rescued and endangered to the all-important sharks, they have it all. Going around this place took me approximately one hour, but could have easily taken longer had I given the time to visit each and every section they have to offer. Having visited a number of aquariums before, this one really was above and beyond all my expectations and by far the best I've visited. Their extensive interactive games for kids and quizzes keep the young ones occupied.
What's more, the aquarium has an extended range of species other centres can't facilitate, including rainforest species such as alligators, turtles and even penguins! The opportunity to see so many animals in one place is truly magnificent. One of my favourite features of the Sea Life Centre was the rock pools - a chance to get up close and personal to some smaller yet equally satisfying creatures such as rays and starfish. With a clear path to follow, you're never at risk of missing any incredible sights out too, which is always a bonus!
