The world première tour of Scottish Ballet's
Hansel & Gretel is full of treats, including Grace Kelly-inspired costumes, make-up by Mac, and music by Engelbert Humperdinck. Directed by artistically brilliant Christopher Hampson, it is a festive feast for the senses.

The sinister fairy
If you've ever dreamed of seeing the tales-old fable come to life, the Scottish Ballet, have done a hypnotising job. This brand new Hansel & Gretel takes creative twists and turns inspired by the Grimm Brother's famous fairy tale.
You've read the reviews, and you know the story, but it has never been told the way the Scottish Ballet tell it. Imaginative staging, fantastical costume, and outlandish ideas, it all comes together for a memorable rendition of the classic story.
I've yet to see Hampson's work, but I have a friend who is somewhat of a fanatic. She call him the Baz Lurhmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet, The Great Gatsby), of the stage, and if that's anything to go by, Hampson's Hansel & Gretel will be a promise of magic, entertainment, but mostly a captivating story telling that will never leave you.
