Have a Home Cinema Day

First there was Scala Forever, then there was Scala Beyond; wow get ready for Scalarama. The UK wide film festival is more popular than anyone ever expected; it was meant to be just a one off thing, but due to demand has now entered its third year. So what has made Scalarama such a success? Maybe it is because it is such an inclusive event, or maybe it's just because people love film.
Scalarama gives you the chance to discover new films, meet new people, and host your very own Home Cinema Day. The festival lasts until the 29th September, and this year they are asking you to take a 'chance on cinema' by seeing things you might never have heard of before.
There will be double-bills, triple bills, and all nighters. See films in 16mm, 35mm, black & white, and digital. You can find events in your own area, but some London screenings includeThe Lost Boys, The Iron Giant, silent cinema, Swedish Sexation, a magic lantern showcase, and a whole day of cult TV programmes.
