Musical singing star Samantha Barks embarks on her debut solo tour following her acclaimed performance on stage and screen in Les Misérables.

The songstress came third in TV show I'd Do Anything but went on to land a key role in the Hollywood movie of Les Misérables as Eponine alongside actors like Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Eddie Redmayne.
It came about as she attracted attention as Éponine in the theatre version of Les Misérables at London's Queen's Theatre between 2010 and 2011 and as well as the 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2 Arena in October 2010.
Now Barks, from Laxey on the Isle of Man, is set to impress with her voice at theatres including Birmingham's New Alexandra Theatre on June 20 and Richmond Theatre on June 26. She'll also give a concert for fans at home with a show on June 11 at Gaiety Theatre, in Douglas, Isle Of Man.
The show takes inspiration from Barks' roots in musical theatre, whilst incorporating modern influences. She's got plenty of experience to draw from after starring in shows from Chicago to Oliver! and Cabaret.

The singer and actress was nominated for a prestigious Screen Actors Guild Award and announced as Empire Magazine's Best Female Newcomer.
