I remember a time, not so long ago, when if you mentioned the word sushi, people might either look at you in puzzlement, not knowing what you are talking about, or with a look of disgust (many people used to find the idea of eating raw fish revolting).

However, times have changed, and judging by the amount of sushi restaurants, cafes and even takeaways located around London, tastes have too.

Everyone seems to love those slivers of fish on a cuboid of vinegary rice, and through this have an increased curiosity towards all things Japanese.

Having won awards for its sushi on two occasions, you can be sure you are getting an authentic experience in that department. Besides that though there is a restaurant serving meat and vegetable dishes in a variety of authentic ways, and also Omakase, which translates to 'as the chef likes', so you are left in his capable hands.

The bar specialises in cocktails and sake, though beer is available, and kobachi, bar food like a Japanese version of Spanish tapas, is available while you drink.

Finally, the shop sells all the tools and ingredients to for you to make an attempt at making your own Japanese food at home too - so come in for food, and leave with the inspiration to make what you've eaten!
