BOING!
There is no night more exciting for children than the night before Christmas. Waiting for Santa Claus to appear, even the contemplation of sleep is impossible.
The play,
BOING! , directed by Sally Cookson, illustrates this fact brilliantly, by effectively using comedy, acrobatics, and breakdancing to create an energetic and enchanting piece of children's theatre.
It's Christmas Eve, and Wilkie and Joel are too excited to sleep. What better way to use up some of that restless energy than to turn their bed into a giant trampoline?
The show will be on between the 20th-31st December at the Lilian Baylis Studio at either 11.30am or 3pm.
Tickets are £12 for adults and £7 for children.
The Snowman
The Snowman was one of my favourite animated shorts to watch on Christmas morning when I was a kid. To be able to fly to the North Pole with a snowman was the most magical thing in the world, and the music was so enchanting.
Now kids will get a chance to see
The Snowman on stage at the Peacock Theatre. The production is an hour and fifty minutes, and runs between the 28th November and the 6th of January, with running times at 11am, 2.30pm, & 7pm.
Tickets are £12-£32.
When a young boy's snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve, they set off on a journey to the North Pole, where they meet penguins, reindeer, and Father Christmas. But it is not all a magical wonderland, because danger lurks in the form of the evil Jack Frost.
