The Royal Three Counties Show returns to Malvern's Three Counties Showground from June 17 till June 19, 2022, for a long-weekend of food, farming and family fun.

This year marks 100 years of the show and to celebrate organisers have curated over 150 activities and attractions for visitors, including new mini-festivals within the event.

The open-air Food & Drink Festival will showcase the best artisan produce from across Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. Local chefs and special guests will present cookery displays and tastings, hosted by award-winning writer, photographer and owner of Otter Farm (the UK's only climate change farm), Mark Diacono. At the Three Counties Cider & Perry Festival apple and pear-based drinks can be sampled (pictured above), with the producers on hand to explain the processes involved in making the popular products.

A visit to the show wouldn't be complete without experiencing the Farming Village with over 120 breeds of animals across 25 judging rings, including 54 rare and minority breeds (boasting the largest gathering of rare breed livestock in the country). The chance to get up close to different types of animals and the enthralling sheep shearing demonstrations and competitions (pictured below) are a real highlight of the weekend.

The Young Farmers will go head-to-head in their legendary competitions which this year involve bale-pushing and camel suit racing. Those interested in cutting edge technology, machinery and sustainability should head for the AgriTech Zone to discuss opportunities and careers in this exciting sector.

Within Adventure Avenue you can watch the skills of the famous STIHL Timbersports British National Championships, learn about the Army and their vehicles, and cheer on the remarkable pole climbing competitors.

There is lots to learn about trees in the Forestry Area, while in the Farriery and Blacksmithing area sparks will fly as competitors make everything from different types of shoes for horses to a prizewinning bottle opener.

The Gardening Hub houses the International Orchid Show, which is the largest in the UK and brings together specimens of rare and beautiful plants from Europe and further afield, while the ever popular Plant & Flower Show adds vibrant colour and fragrance to Severn Hall, with a full timetable of talks and demos for the duration of the show.

The Equine Village's six show rings will host spectacular show jumping alongside some of the country's top showing competitors across 290 classes. The new Ask The Groom area offers visitors the chance to learn how to take care of horses, with tips from a range of experienced exhibitors alongside popular show regulars Malvern Pony Club, Hook Norton Brewery and the Dyfed-Powys Mounted Police.

The Fur, Feather and Farm area features rabbits, chickens, ducks, alpaca and goats. There's a full programme of entertainment in the Countryside Arena, featuring acts such as The Mini Pony Show, Hawkeye Falconry and the ever popular working gundogs. The Herefordshire Beekeepers will host a dedicated Bees and Honey marquee where there will be demonstrations and advice on keeping bees.

Family entertainment includes displays by The Red Devils (above) and Bolddog Lings freestyle stunt motocross teams.

Jane Edwards, Shows Manager, said: "There's something for everyone to enjoy on the most picturesque picnic site in our three counties. Beautiful views, live music and lots of space, plus endless opportunities to explore, laugh and learn."
