We went here for my boyfriend's graduation meal, It's on a par with my favourite Italian, San Carlo, but has more purse friendly prices. They aren't stingy with the portion sizes either. We all cleaned our plates and left satisfied customers.

Tasty food, served with a smile always gets my vote but you can get that anywhere. Rosso's is a triple threat: you walk in and it has this atmosphere that screams lush.

The decor is, in short, sexy. Red, white, black, and glass sounds tacky but it is understated and kinda hot. It's how I imagine a less S&M, more PG version of the 'Red Room' in Fifty Shades

If you're in Manchester and in the mood for yummy a Italian (insert innuendo) head to Rosso; the food is lush, the service is good, and it will make you go 'ooh' when you waltz in.

Here's what we ordered:

Our mains:

Pollo al Funghi

Creamy mushroom chicken topped with a rocket salad. This was so good.

Saltimbocco di Pollo

Chicken escalope topped with sage, parma ham peas and pancetta. He tucked in with garlic bread on the side. Honestly mine was better.

The mains were served with creamed spinach, which was hot, wilted and buttery, and moreish. It wasn't a measly portion either. One serving fed all five of us.

I strongly recommend Rosso for an Italian meal with loved ones. The food is incredibly well-flavoured, the service is superb, and the atmosphere is infectiously good.

There's a live singer who croons gentle tunes while you dine, oh and Rosso is part owned by footballing legend Ronaldinho. Just thought you should know.
