The Riverbar Steakhouse & Grill

Without fail, it is hard to deny a man his meat. Since the dawn of time, and if our caveman counterparts are anything to go by, meat has been a necessary staple for almost a million years. The only difference now is that instead of taking our club and throwing some fur on ourselves, we just head to a restaurant of our choice. If you are in Cambridge, then that restaurant is
Riverbar Steakhouse & Grill located right by the River Cam.
The atmosphere in the established eatery is quite lively, come in on a Saturday night and you will realise the importance of booking a table. Never fear though, my boyfriend and I managed to get a table through pure banter with the host and being patient (a concept lost by many people).
While we were waiting we enjoyed some delicious cocktails concocted by the creative bar guys, before we knew it we were at our table hovering over a mouthwatering menu of starters and a succulent collection of steaks.
If you have a stomach, capable of some third degree consumption, go for the
20oz Porterhouse Steak. If you are quite famished but not up for the carnivore challenge, then opt for the
10oz Sirloin Steak.
When it comes to starters, I highly recommend the
Baked Camembert w Onion Jam & Homemade Bread. This was heaven on earth. I am a huge fan of cheese and wine and you cannot get better than this. Presented beautifully, with a selection of freshly baked breads, is a duo that must be shared by a duo.
Enter this fine establishment and you will leave highly satisfied, as will your belly. With gorgeous views and a roof top to boot (perfect in summer) you cannot go wrong with this addition to your Cambridge visit.
