Smokey Dragon tea, home-cooked food and local, organic vegetables are all on the menu at Riverbank Café and Farm Shop, a delightful rural eaterie near Tregaron, Ceredigion.

You can enjoy the delights of an all-day breakfast or afternoon tea sitting by the large picture window with views of the countryside. There are two, wide, open-plan seating areas, one featuring the work of local artists on the walls. In the other, shelves display a wide range of local produce you can buy and take home with you. This includes Chantler's speciality tea blends, Coaltown coffees and Tregroes waffles, among other delicious goods.

A conservatory looks out on to a stream at the back and there is also an attractive covered seating area to the front of the building, overlooking the garden.

Open between 10.00am and 6.00pm, Tuesday to Sunday, Riverbank Cafe serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. All the food, including home-made cakes and bread, is made fresh daily.

An hour and a forty minutes' drive north of Swansea, Riverbank Café is signposted on the A485 about half a mile outside Tregaron approaching from the south.
