I wonder what it was like to live in Macbeth's tower. A pretty unsettling one if you ask me. Especially after some bloody murders. Do you think you could last at night at his place? Do you you dare go for a sleepover?
Rift is an immersive theatre company directed by Felix Mortimer, who creates interactive plays that have more audience participation than any other. In Rift's latest production, Macbeth you will be invited to watch the first few scenes of Shakespeare's tragedy before going to bed in an East London Tower Block (the exact location is yet to be announced). During the night you will be visited by characters from the play as the enact Duncan's murder. The final scene will be performed in the morning, after which you will dine on a vegetarian breakfast with Macbeth.
The production runs between 20th June - 16th August, and will last between 8pm-8am. There are three packages to choose from. For £20, the Hard Package requires you to bring your own sleeping bags; a £30 soft package provides a camp bed, and the £40 deluxe will have you sleeping in royal beds and enjoying Duncan's drink party.
