All the fun of the fair
On Saturday 13th May 2017, the 48th consecutive May Fair will be held on Richmond Green in South West London. It is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the final days of Spring. The extensive green will be filled with over 100 charity stalls, a quality craft marquee, a vintage carousel and helter-skelter, free entertainment all day, the crowning of the Richmond May Queen, Maypole dancing and a range of food stalls!

I went to last year's May Fair with my husband and children, and it was the perfect family afternoon.

We bounced...

We spun...

We slid...

We ate ice cream...

We bounced some more...

And we found a fellow fan of sequins...

All in all, it was a wonderful day and we are looking forward to more fun at the fair this year. Let's hope the sun is shining!

The fair is on from 10:30am onwards and the fun carries on throughout the day. Entrance to the fair is free of charge, although be sure to bring along some cash if you want to enjoy all the attractions. Richmond Green in located very close to Richmond Station - once out of the station, cross the road, walk to the right and turn left into the Old Station Passage, an alleyway between buildings. At the end of the passage turn left, pass the Little Green on your right and Richmond Lending Library and Richmond Theatre on your left. Alternatively, there is on-street parking nearby at a charge.
