The Royal Horticultural Society’s
2025 Malvern Spring Festival is set to include a host of new features and attractions.
The show, which runs at Malvern's
Three Counties Showground from May 8 to May 11, has the theme of ‘Plants and People’ and, for the first time, will include RHS judged Indoor Plant Gardens. Creative ways of using indoor plants will be showcased, highlighting the impact they can have on our daily lives. The gardens will also demonstrate how versatile and easily accessible indoor plants are, and how they’re an enjoyable and convenient way to engage in horticulture year-round, regardless of whether or not you have outdoor space. The Indoor Plant Gardens – located in the Festival of Houseplants area – will be scrutinised by a panel of horticultural experts and RHS judges to crown the first RHS medal-winning Indoor Plant Garden 2025.
The new Give it a Grow theatre will also debut at this year’s festival. Hosted by
Leigh Johnstone (aka ‘
The Beardy Gardener ’), the theatre will welcome special guests, including
Adam Alexander (aka '
The Seed Detective ' – award-winning film and TV producer who lectures widely on his work discovering, conserving and sharing rare and endangered gardening crops),
Huw Richards (YouTube content creator and author of four best-selling plot to plate books),
Anya Lautenbach (aka '
Anya The Garden Fairy ' – bestselling author and digital content creator),
Sarah Gerrard-Jones (aka '
The Plant Rescuer ' – author and presenter on ITV’s
Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club, and a prominent voice in the world of houseplants) and
Helen Cross (author, broadcaster and horticultural educator). This area will act as an educational hub, inspiring visitors to grow more, grow smarter and grow better.
Another new introduction to this year’s festival is a special ‘Dog Day’ on May 11. Well-behaved dogs on short, fixed leads are welcome to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the festival with their owners. The dog tickets are available to book online in advance at
www.rhsmalvern.co.uk .
As usual, the festival boasts a full programme of lively talks, interactive demonstrations and expert advice from some of the most respected names in horticulture. This year’s Festival Theatre host is TV presenter, broadcaster and former music publicist,
