This Year is the 10th Anniversary of
The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, and what better way to celebrate than by meeting the actors who were in the film? Massive Events are holding a three-day convention at The North Hampton Park Inn between Friday 23rd and Sunday 25th November 2012.
The convention, '
Return to Middle Earth', will bring fans of the books and movies together with guest talks, autograph signings, photoshoots, quizzes, and parties.
A standard adult ticket is £79 for the three days and gives you:
a souvenir programme, 1 gift, access to all the talks and parties, and 1 free autograph for up to six guests. Children's tickets are £29, and you can also buy a silver or gold programme, but they are both limited.
Over the weekend, there are special room rates at the North Hampton Inn. £68 per room with breakfast in bed, no matter how many are in the room. They also have a bar & restaurant, and a health club.

The guests announced so far are Billy Boyd and John Rhys-Davis, but there are still many more to come. Boyd played Pippin in
Lord of The Rings, and has also appeared in a comedy called
Space Milkshake that he recently worked on with
Stargate actor, Amanda Tapping. Rhys-Davis played Gimli the Dwarf; he is an acclaimed British actor with credits such as
Indiana Jones: Raiders of The Lost Ark.

As well as being able to get their autograph, you can book a photoshoot with them, or if you are feeling lucky, buy a raffle ticket and win a guest encounter. Unlike a talk, where you are sitting with a crowd of people while the actor is on stage, in a guest encounter you will be able to have a one-to-one 45 minute chat with one of twelve guests.
At the start of the event there will be an opening ceremony with an exclusive wine reception, and on each night there will be a special themed party. On Friday go to Bilbo's Birthday, Saturday attend Aragorn's Coronation, and on Sunday you'll be Under The Eye of Sauron. Finally the night will end with a closing ceremony.
