The staff are very pleasant but rushed off their feet, as customers are eager to partake of the gourmet menu which appears to change on a daily basis. The clientele appeared upmarket, but it was not a snobby place; I sat there for an hour or so and felt quite relaxed.
It also has the advantage of being half a mile from Ealing centre, so it feels more tranquil than alternative venues which are located near to Ealing Broadway.
The pub's atmosphere, excellent food and friendly staff make the Red Lion worth a visit, if you are ever in West London.
It has an intimate feel, so I would recommend it for a first date or a wedding anniversary. Equally it made a wonderful oasis from my hectic schedule.
