Saturday, April 18th is the official day to show your love and support for independently owned record stores, the art of music and generally bask in the revival of vinyl.

According to digitaltrends.com; "Vinyl sales have increased by over 220 percent since the start of the decade", with Jack White's Lazaretto being the highest selling vinyl album of 2014, reaching sales of 87,000!

In its eighth year of celebration, RSD promises a packed out day; of free live music, special vinyl and CD releases, made especially for the day merchandise, artist meet and greets, in-store quizzes and much more.

Berwick Street in the heart of London's Soho, with its three record stores, is a great place to hang out on the day. It's attracted the likes of; Adam Ant and Frank Turner in recent years.

Visit the website for UK coverage of the 200 plus stores participating this year.
