Real Food Markets are essentially a celebration of all that is great about food and drink, with a focus on goods that have been both sustainably and ethically produced.

Besides the Real Food Market held at Brent Cross shopping centre on the last weekend of every month, there's also the , held on the first weekend of every month.

The market brings together more than 40 Real Food producers, carefully chosen for their high quality, seasonal and affordable produce.

It's a great chance for the general public take a break from their local supermarket and instead come out to support smaller food producers from around the country.

Here, you can meet the actual people who produce the food! They'll be more than happy to answer questions and talk about what they have on offer.

More than simply a market, the Real Food Market wants to keep shoppers happy and entertained, so there'll be a number of interactive events taking place, as well as talks from food specialists and cooking demonstrations by professionals who'll be offering top tips on how to get the most from seasonal ingredients .

One of the highlights will be the scrumptious and very popular alfresco hog roast from the award winning Canteen restaurant , purveyors of great Great British food.

Best of all, February's event takes place just prior to Valentine's Day, making it a fabulous opportunity to shop with some of the best chocolatiers around, and enabling you to get everything you need for 'the special one' while at the same time munching away on that tasty hog roast (vegetarian options also available).
