The Real Food Markets are now a permanent fixture at weekends on the Southbank. For the first time the
Real Bread Festival will take place over the weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 5-7 October. Not only will visitors be able to shop and sample the produce, but they will also have an opportunity to learn from independent bakers.

The bread basket will be cast wide and will include sweet and savoury and hot and cold produce, as well as gluten free bread products and a dedicated children's area. Experts will be on hand to give advice, talks and demonstrations and a Baker's Question Time will permit home bakers to find out answers to their baking problems. The information states that the delicious Spanish churros, a regular feature of the food markets, will be available. Take my word for it, these yummy confections, sold with a chocolate dipping sauce, are a treat that is not to be missed. Share them with a friend if you really must, but it's much better to be greedy and keep them all to yourself.
