Obesity is a growing (no pun intended) issue in the UK. It is said that one third of the country is now obese, making us the fattest people in Europe, and only a step behind the Americans.
Although many of us are constantly trying to lose weight, dieting hardly ever works. There are two main reasons for this. First off, dieting is only a temporary thing. People go on a diet for a month or so, lose weight, and then go back to their old routine, and put it all back on again. Second, diets can be hard to stick to. Unless you have strong will power, eating the same boring meals everyday becomes so tedious that you just crack and dip into the chocolate box.
If you really want to lose weight, and lead a healthier lifestyle, your diet needs to become the daily norm, and the food needs to be enjoyable enough to keep up with it. But what healthy foods out there are delicious enough to make you want to eat them everyday? And once you've found them, how do you turn them into a delicious meal?
Enter The Raw Food School. Their aim is to make each meal a sensational gastronomic experience, while at the same time, being healthy. Their motto is 'raw food shouldn't be bore food', and want to teach the nation how to prepare delicious meals with uncooked vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and sprouted grains.
The Raw Food School hold various classes around the UK with bookings starting from £150. Included in the package will be an introduction to a raw & living food diet, recipe demonstrations (such as juices, breads, soups, salads, and desserts), information on kitchen tools and utensils, a guide on where to source your ingredients, a recipe information pack, and a sit-down lunch with the food that you prepared in class.
