You learn something new everyday. All I knew of Ann Duffy was from what I learnt when taking my GCSEs, when we studied her poetry. I had no idea that she was a playwright as well, which is why it came as rather a surprise to me when I found out that she had written Rapunzel, a ballet co-produced by Northern Stage and BalletLorent.
The ballet is a production touring the UK full of dark imagery from the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale. It is a story of desire and devastation, which will capture both adults and children (suitable for over sevens).
