Race for Life is more than just an incredible day out – its helped fund amazing advances in cancer research across the UK for the last 17 years. Currently every two minutes someone is diagnosed with cancer in the UK - so this year there is a greater need for more women than ever to take part in Race for Life, where you can walk, jog or run to help save more lives.



This event is happening all across the UK. You can choose to run 5k or 10k. All women of different ages can participate; however girls under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that this event is only for women.



Race for Life events are about more than just the event itself. Across the country, the day is shared with the whole community.
There's something for everyone with music, fun, children's stalls, health information stands and games arenas to make the event a day to remember. Some Race for Life events have onsite clothing stalls where you can buy personalised Race for Life merchandise.

To join this event, you have to register and pay a fee of £15. You will not be able to register your participation on the day, so register before it is too late here . You can also volunteer or sponsor a friend.

All the women who participate in this major event will be signed into a competition in partnership with Tesco. They will have the opportunity to win :
5 x a year's free grocery shopping at Tesco, worth £2,600.
20 x Lavish spa and beauty vouchers worth £250 each, accepted at over 300 spas and salons across the UK.
20 x Flip Mino HD pocket camcorders.
100 x Samsung ES28 pink digital cameras.
