The stalwarts of the Midlands folk/rock scene are returning to their home stomping ground with a 'superstar' special guest again joining the ranks. Quill are renowned as one of the most adaptive and adventurous bands to have come out of the Midlands region in many a year. And loyal fans of the group will be able to see them perform live on stage at the Lichfield Garrick theatre on Friday 2nd March as part of their Riding Rainbows Tour. Quill, who return to the Lichfield Garrick following the success of their sell out show last year, will feature percussionist Bev Bevan, formerly of The Move, ELO and Black Sabbath, who has been a regular favourite guest in recent years.

Headed by lead singer Joy Strachan-Brain, Quill have developed and mastered a unique musical style that has utilised many varied influences, from Celtic folk/rock to the likes of Fleetwood Mac and the Corrs, although long before the Corrs were even formed. It is not often that a band can lay claim to a consistent and continuous gig sheet going all the way back to the 1970's but Quill have achieved it, adding new members along the way while always maintaining a great skill set and excellent musicianship, and having Joy's wonderful vocals always at the forefront. Birmingham-based Quill, who will hit the stage as a seven piece, will perform songs old and new, including tracks from their recent album, Brush With The Moon. Fans in Lichfield and elsewhere can again expect a live show bursting with energy and crammed with songs delivered with imagination and lyrical beauty, and often with a powerful story to tell. A feature of Quill's live concerts continues to be the artistry of guitar and violin complemented by five vocal harmonies which together produce an exciting dynamic sound.

Quill will bring their 2018 Riding Rainbows Tour to the Lichfield Garrick on Friday 2nd March at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £22 and are available from the theatre's box office on 01543 412121 or online from www.lichfieldgarrick.com
