Since 2011, the annual QED: Question Explore Discover conference has been an exciting and educational event. The two-day festival will feature talks, panels and shows from scientists, skeptics and interesting people from all walks of life.
This year's host is magician and skeptic Dave Alnwick. Other guest speakers will include Robin Ince, of BBC Radio 4's Infinite Monkey Cage, Natalie Newell, director of the Science Moms documentary and host of the Science Enthusiast podcast, Deborah Hyde is the editor of The Skeptic magazine chairing a talk on the science of Game of Thrones, and Kavin Senapathy of Science Based Medicine.
In 2017 the event will be returning to the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester for the 14th and 15th of October.
Tickets are £109 or £75 concession. Last year sold out, so if you'd like to come along hurry and book right away.
QED is hosted by the Merseyside Skeptics Society, in conjunction with the Greater Manchester Skeptics Society. It is organised by volunteers and any proceeds go back into the event or to charity.
