Past, Present, and Future Festival 2012
Axten FC is a football club for young people between 4-18 years old. It was founded in 2003 with the intention to promoting a 'can do' attitude among youths. Although it it is based in Brixton, its over sixty members come from all around, including areas such as Lambeth, Wandsworth, Southwark, and Croydon.
On the 3rd August, Axten FC will be holding a
Put Back Festival at Clapham Common. It is a free community event that celebrates Lambeth's cultural history, and wants to 'put back' what everyone has put in to their cause over the years.
There will be activities for all, including a large children's play area with a bouncy castle, super slide, go-kart racing, face painting, and giant pass the parcel. Adults can listen to their favourite hits from the 1960s onwards, have a refreshing cold beer, and sample some world foods. There will also be craft stalls, singers & dancers, and what FC event would be complete without a football championship tournament?
