Punto Italian Restaurant& #8207 ;

Askew Road in West Shepherd's Bush is fast becoming a haven for local restaurants, and the newest one to pop up is a little pizzeria called Punto. There is already one other Punto restaurant located out in Berkshire (click here for website), so the owner must have fancied expanding the – obviously successful - business into the London market.

The menu is classic Italian: plenty of pizzas, pastas and risottos on offer, with the tempting scent of garlic, basil and oregano wafting from the kitchen as you sit down. While you look over the menu, a small platter of bread, olives and risotto balls are served to whet your appetite. In terms of price, pizzas range from about £6-£12 and pasta dishes start from around £9, so a visit here certainly won't cost the earth.

On a Friday and Saturday evening there is often entertainment from a live singer who throws out Italian classics such as 'That's Amore', to create a lively atmosphere as you tuck into your Italian fare. The staff at Punto are friendly and chatty; they care about what you think of the food and make sure your needs have been catered for. On leaving, you may even be lucky enough to get presented with a complementary limoncello to see you on your way.

Askew Road is easily accessible via Stamford Brook tube station, or local buses. Takeaway is also available.
