There are 4 public toilets in Whitstable. It's handy to know where to find them if you're spending time shopping or at the beach. Here is a list of all of them, so you don't get caught short when you're visiting.
Toilet Outside the Horsebridge Centre
The most central public toilets in Whitstable are located outside the Horsebridge Centre in Horsebridge Road. To help find them, they are just back from the beach, opposite The Whitstable Oyster Company and next to Pearson's Pub. There's a single unisex loo that is open until 8.00pm in the summer, and there are two more toilets next to it that close earlier; one with a baby changing table. These are the most visible conveniences and so long queues can form here when it's busy in the town.
24-hour Toilets in Skinner's Alley
About halfway along the High Street, between Demelza Charity shop and the Ship Centurion Pub, is Skinner's Alley. There's a 24-hour toilet block here and they are quite nice for public toilets. Not many people know they are here so there is rarely a queue.
Toilets Near Old Neptune Pub on Whitstable Beach
Along the beach, away from the centre is an area called West Beach, and there are public toilets here near the tennis courts. As you walk past the Old Neptune pub, they start to come into view. The toilets are just the other side of the sea wall. They are a little older but perfectly usable.
Harbour Street Toilets
These are directly on the zebra crossing opposite Gorrell Tank car park (the largest parking lot in town). If you're in the harbour, you will need to go back out to the street to access these toilets. These get quite busy but there are several cubicles inside, so any queues go down quickly.
These are the public toilets in Whitstable. Their opening times vary, and they are often open later than advertised during busy periods in the summer months. There are more toilets in Tankerton, which joins on to Whitstable.
