Psychology in the Pub

If you think that your nights out are missing something, maybe you are right. An inspirational discussion (always alongside with your pint of beer) could be the missing ingredient for a perfect night out.
If this is the case, you might be inerested in
"": A series of events organised by a group of academics who offer talks and discussions for
Free. The events are usually held in the
Showroom Cinema in Sheffield. However, some discussions are held in pubs around Sheffield.
The idea is that people interested in psychology can meet in a friendly environment (at a Pub or a Cinema-room), where an expert presents a topic. After this, the participants are able to ask questions and discuss issues related to the topic. For me, learning and drinking worked together in perfect harmony. A few sips opened the doors of my perception and the late-at-night discussion gave a different spark and excitement to my night.
One thing is for sure: you will exit that room (or pub) knowing a bit more about how human behaviour works. Hopefully, you will also realise that human behaviour is mysterious and overwhelmingly exciting. You do not need to have background related to psychology. However, if you do have I personally guarantee you that the topics are not boring at all. Inherent curiosity is the only feature that the participants should share.
The next talk will take place on the 1st of November with Dr. Sue Jamison discussing the topic:
'Living through Facebook after Death' in the Showroom at 7:00-9:30 PM
