If you fancy a good curry with brilliant staff, then I must tempt you with this restaurant in Surbiton, South West London.

The town offers a variety of cuisine, from the traditional fish and chips to the more adventurous Thai. Being from a family who adores a good curry with a beer, there is no surprise that our hearts were set on this particular restaurant. With nearby train lines and bus links it is easy to get to, even from Central London, where you can escape the massive crowds for a perfect retreat.

This was my first visit to this curry house, but my aunties have been there before, so it must be good if they are coming back for the 10th time! First impressions - it was dark with not much lighting, but cool and breezy - perfect for the sweaty me that came in from the evening blaze. The decor is very modern, white and tidy with a lot of space between you and the next diner, which is a must.

The service is fast and exquisite and kept to a high standard with our starters and mains. As this particular night was busy, by the end of the night it did take around 30 minutes to get the bill as they forgot to get us the birthday cake for my uncle. Saying that, they did cater for our needs and wants - with letting us use their plug socket to charge phones. Very grateful.

The food was hot when delivered to our table and all dishes had a very authentic taste. when reality your in the Western Hemisphere. The prices were very reasonable, if I recall it was around £6 for your traditional korma, masala and bhuma dishes and a little bit more for tandoori. To finish your evening on a high they offered you a complimentary drink, which of course we jumped at.



A little word of advice; to get the best deal go on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday - they offer an amazing deal. A starter, main, rice and naan for £8.95. I mean that is ridiculously cheap, so please do not get offended if you do not get your drink gift at the end because as far as I am concerned, you have got a sweet treat with your meal deal.
