No matter how good your photos are, if no one sees them, they are not going to win you any prizes. But getting your work noticed is never easy, especially if you are just starting out. Any amateur photographer would relish the opportunity to get their pictures out into the community, but how to go about it is another thing entirely.
Print Matters is a three-day workshop that could do just that. Taking place between the 25th-27th October, the course will be run Italian-born photographer, Alessandro Simonetti, at Studio 74 on Salusbury Road, London.
The course is not about how to take photographs, but how to get them published. It explores the photographic process in relation to fanzines, magazines, books, and other physical forms of publication. The class will be taught through lectures, discussions, and practical work, which will result in a finished student publication. Your finished project will then be promoted online and in the real world in the form of articles and surveys.
