Tune Those Vocal Chords

How often have you had to resist the urge to burst out singing at the cinema? Well, okay, maybe that doesn't happen when you're watching an action movie or thriller, but when it comes to film musicals, they just beg for you to join in.

If you ever did fall victim to this urge, you'd probably be met with a lot 'ssshhuuusshhh!' from the rest of the audience, or even get thrown out. But now you no longer have to take that chance, because the Prince Charles Cinema has a solution. No, it's not a gag.

Starting from the 11th October, the Prince Charles is starting a brand new viewing experience. Welcome to Sing-a-Long Cinema.

The evening will begin with a vocal warm-up to get everyone pitch perfect (or there abouts - they can't perform miracles). You are encouraged to come in fancy dress because there will be a competition with awards and prizes. After that you will receive a free goody bag, with items that are to be used during the screening.

The films being shown are all musicals that began at the Prince Charles Theatre, and include The Sound of Music, Grease, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Tickets are 15-16 for adults and 9.50 for under 16s. Under 16s can only attend matinees, and depends on the film's certificate rating.
