Since its founding in 1994, the
Attic Theatre Company has produced forty-eight productions. While some of these have been classics or revivals, the heart of Attic's work is new writing. Through their annual Playfest, the Attic Theatre Company make submission calls for short plays, and this year, the standard was exceptionally high. That tough task of whittling the shortlist down to just five was down to artistic director, Louise Hill, who eventually settled on
Pitted by Troodie Mootz,
Reunion by Richard Fitchett,
Warm, Hot, Getting Hotter by Lou Treleaven,
Lemons by James Withey, and
Fountain of Youth by Chris Holbrook.
The Rehearsed readings of these plays will be performed at Wimbledon Library on 11th & 12th October as part of the Wimbledon Bookfest.
Tickets to the event are £10 and includes a welcome drink. After the Saturday performance, there will be a chance to discuss the plays with the writers, artistic director, and cast.
