Sedos is proud to claim it is the premier amateur theatre in London with their roots back to
Charles Dickinson and Cyril Bathurst. These gents formed the
Dramatic and Operatic Society in 1905. Members of this society also consisted of senior members of the Stock Exchange and their principal aim was to take advantage of the immense variety of talent around the house and to use this talent of the people on the Stock Exchange trading floor to raise funds for charity.
Currently with a membership of over 200 and a yearly programme of eight to ten challenging fringe theatre productions, Sedos is a registered charity run by an executive committee.
From 9th to 19th May 2018, the
Bridewell Theatre will be hosting the production of "Pippin".
Pippin is young and ambitious and ready to change the World, but he finds that things are not that simple. Setting out to make his mark in the World he dabbles in the horrors of war, the lure of sex and the sordid realm of politics. Inevitably failing in all his pursuits, he turns to the one person whom he can trust to turn his life around so he can be remembered from one final blaze of glory.
Three-time Oscar winner
Stephen Schwartz from Wicked, Godspell, Children of Eden, will be delighting the audience with Pippin. Pippin has been enjoyed by audiences all over the World, winning the Tony Award for Best Revival of a musical.
Pippin will be performed at night from 7.30pm and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm. Cost is £14.50 to £ 21.00 per person. The Bridewell Theatre is situated in Bride Lane, London. More information on this and upcoming events can be located on their Sedos'
