So my friend and I went out to London, just to check out a few shops and we then stumbled across Ping Pong Dim Sum Restaurant and Bar, situated on Great Marlborough St. To be honest, it wasn't mainly the restaurant itself that caught our eyes, but the happy hour sign right in front of it! The picture of the beautifully crafted cocktail lured us in and lucky for us happy hour was between 3-5pm so we just made it. What made it even better was the fact that all the cocktails were half price!

We went on a weekday, so understandably it was quiet and there weren't many customers, however the atmosphere was extremely relaxing and the friendly staff made the experience much better.

We decided to order a couple of cocktails. I had the classic mojito which was made using Barcardi superior rum, fresh limes, mint and soda, whilst my friend had ordered the limited edition mojito (on the sign outside of the restaurant) which was made from the classic mojito mixture with oranges and hazelnuts added to it. When the cocktails arrived, I was amazed and surprised to say that they looked like the photos on the sign! The bartender had made the drinks look amazing and they tasted as good as they looked.

We decided to have another cocktail as there were a range of different cocktails that I had never seen before and thought they were worth trying. I went for a strawberry and passion fruit cocktail which consisted of strawberries, limes, passion fruit juice, cabritio reposado tequila, topped with Asian basil seeds. At first I found that my drink was very strong, however the bartender was lovely enough to change the strength of my drink without a fuss. He was very helpful and checked on whether we liked our drinks enough, which I thought was brilliant and he made us feel more welcome and comfortable at the bar!

My friend had gone for a ginseng passion cocktail which consisted of kamm & sons ginseng spirit, fresh passion fruit, lemon juice, lavender infused honey and ginger. When I tried a little of it, it tasted very refreshing and citrusy.

To prevent ourselves from buying more of the delicious cocktails, we wisely ordered the bill and found that our four drinks came to £28. However due to happy hour, our drinks had come to £14 in total, which I thought was brilliant! For a top London restaurant bar, the drinks were at an affordable price.

So if your around London, preferably on a weekday between 3-5pm and you're looking to chill out and have a refreshing drink, I would advise Ping Pong, as it won't let you down!
