If you've been out and about in Birmingham lately you may well have noticed ping pong tables popping up in the most unlikely places.

The whole idea is to encourage more people to play table tennis, whenever and wherever you are. You'll find them in places like Kings Heath High Street and all over the city centre of Birmingham. I've even spotted them in Stratford Upon Avon too.

I really love the idea of stopping by a table tennis table in the middle of a busy shopping street and hitting a few balls. Or in Stratford's case, having a whacking great time outside the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, next to the river.

Check out the website to see where the tables are and what activities are going on around them. It really is free to play and what's more, there's loads more stuff going on to celebrate all things ping pong around the tables.
