Enjoy everything from yoga to cocktails and live music to comedy at a socially distanced festival in Warwick Castle grounds starring Phil Wang and Roy Stride.

Picnic at the Castle outdoor festival takes place within the historic grounds off the M40 from September 17 to October 4.

Over various nights of the week, comedians and music acts will take turns to entertain crowds, who are well spaced out within Warwick Castle.

Visitors can dine on locally-sourced picnic hampers and there's even the option of a medieval-style hog roast to suit the surroundings, all enjoyed from COVID-compliant pergolas or parasols. But tickets must be booked in advance.

Acts include Roy Stride - lead singer from Scouting For Girls -comedian Phil Wang, former X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan and Ferris & Sylvester, the 2020 winner of 'Emerging Artist Award' at the UK Americana Awards.

Other performers include Flo & Joan and Sindhu Vee, on the comedy front, and music from Rory Evans, Krissy Matthews, Damien Wilson, Anna Neale, Jessica Lee Morgan, Soulstar and TR5 on dates between September and October.

Groups of up to six can book their own pergola, while couples can sit out under a personal parasol located in the beautiful Castle grounds. There's also a caravan bar to top up on drinks through the day or night.

Choose between a tasty meat or vegetarian graze box option during the day and enjoy a hog roast picnic during the evening, plus there are vegetarian alternatives also available.

Picnic at the Castle is in partnership with creative events specialists Midsummer Nightcap, whose Managing Director Francesca Nally said: "This really is a socially-distanced outdoor experience like no other, it's the perfect way to reconnect with loved ones and enjoy live entertainment in one of the most beautiful locations anywhere in the country."

Nick Blofeld, Divisional Director of Warwick Castle said: "We love seeing our guests enjoy themselves at the many different events we host at the Castle every year. Picnic at the Castle has all the ingredients for a fantastic, and safe, experience."

Festival sessions include:

Yoga Session: 8am-10am - find balance and reconnect with nature within the stunning grounds of Warwick Castle, followed by a delicious healthy breakfast.

Graze session: 12:15pm - 2:15pm - sit back and enjoy two musical performances sampling a tasty graze box and sipping on scrumptious cocktails.

Gorge session: 3:15pm- 5:15pm – similar to the 'Graze' session above, get together to listen to two musicians whilst enjoying tasty treats and tipples in the grounds of Warwick Castle.

Banquet session: 7pm-10pm - on Thursday and Sunday evenings enjoy stand up comedy shows, with Friday and Saturdays boasting headline music acts. Munch on a hog roast and make use of the caravan bar, for an evening spent either crying with laughter or dancing the night away.

Picnic at the Castle is only available by pre-booking a ticket online. Tickets cost from £30 adults and £17 children. All bookings include access to the Castle, car parking, live entertainment, dedicated gazebos and picnic and hog roast hampers.
