Phipps Bridger's and friends should start storing up their energy, because August is going to be full of activities for children and grown-ups alike. If you're ready to get into the community spirit and get those muscles moving, here's what you can expect to look forward to in the Phipps Bridge area this coming month:

Trip to Little Hampton
2nd August

Want a trip to the sea side without having to worry about travel? South Mitcham Community Centre are arranging a day trip to Little Hampton by coach. It is £10 for members and £12 for non-members, but take note than a year's membership is only £1, so do the math.

Playday

The Residents' Room is holding two creative play sessions. 9.30am - 11.30am s for under 5s, and 1pm - 3.30pm is for 5 - 12 year olds. There will also be the opportunity to have a family photo taken.

Throughout August, Phipps Bridge Youth Centre will be holding activities such as drama, circus skills, sports, and more. 1pm - 6pm is for 10 years and over, while 7pm - 9pm is for 13 years and over.

Sports Blast

Have a go at flag American Football, tennis, football, BMX, netball, and more. The free courses are aimed at 14 - 25 years olds, and are throughout August.

International Summer Fair

Create a Community Garden

Join Dig Merton to help transform an overgrown planting box into a community garden.

Outdoor Gym Sessions
8th, 15th, 22nd August

Anyone over 11 years old can take part in an outdoor gym session, supervised by a qualified instructor.

International Lunch Buffet
