Watch your little ones bloom
Perform is a drama school that prides itself on building a child's potential through play, dance, and music. The activities help with coordination, concentration, and confidence, giving them the chance to shine, and have fun.
Perform holds workshops for 'Starters', 'Talkers', 'Walkers', and older children as well. There are weekly classes (you get your first one free), holiday courses, and they also do children's parties.
Mini Ps are weekly classes especially designed for parents with 3 month-3 year old tots. 25-45 minute sessions are held in the morning, followed by an extra play time. The tots will get to take part in a series of games that involve songs, stories, yoga and toys. Each term there will be a special theme; this term the theme is sing-a-longs, where children will be introduced to classic and interactive songs such as Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
Perform is a group aimed at 4-8 year olds, where kids get to play rapid reaction games, learn to dance, and have yoga-based exercise to strengthen muscles and develop coordination. There is also an emphasis on language skills. Learning is made fun with rap, tongue twisters and songs. The children receive a free CD with all the music played that term, and a sticker poster that they can fill over each passing week as a reward for performances and achievements. This term's theme is The Magician's Chamber, where they will get to immerse themselves in the world of King Arthur.
Perform Plus works at building self-esteem in 8-12 year olds. The children will learn vital social skills by working together as a team and be taught by theatre professionals to instruct them in the performing arts. Directors and choreographers will help them develop their own song and dance routines, giving encouragement and applauding creativity.
Perform Plus takes place on Saturday mornings and after school. On the last day of the term there will be a special performance, where they show off all they have learnt to their parents. This term the children will perform Rome 'n Jewels , about vampire and werewolf gangs fighting out an ancient war.
For October half-term, Perform are running an enchanting three-day drama course based on Beauty and The Beast for 4-8 year olds. There will be colourful costumes, live music, and professional actors and dancers to help the kids put on a magical show. The course cots £90, but there is a 25% discount for siblings.
Perform do parties for every age group with a choice of special themes available. For Mini Ps themes include: Fairies, Under the Sea, Teddy Bear Picnic, Pepper Pig, and The Night Garden. For 4-8s there's a book theme: Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, and more. 8-12 year olds will get a choice of musical based parties such as Mama Mia.
