The Sounds of Nature

The Arebyte Gallery in Hackney Wick represents and promotes artists who have an interest in multi-displinary techniques. By combining two mediums together, it creates a more visceral experience for the audience, and one that fits more wholly into the real world, because in life, we use all our senses, not just one.

The gallery has free entry, and the current exhibition can be seen until the 10th April. It features the work of Singapore artist, Kian-Peng Ong, who is mainly concerned with the combination of audio-visual media by incorporating light, movement, and sound. His latest installation, Particle Waves is a sound sculpture comprised of twelve kinetic bowls that create continuous waves. It is an attempt to show the correlation between sound and nature through using man-made materials.
