Three's not a crowd for rock trio
Pop-punkers Paramore are celebrating their recent chart-topping album with a UK tour that plays Birmingham's LG Arena on September 23.
The band are now a trio – singer Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Taylor York – following the departure at the end of 2010 of founder members, the Farro brothers, Josh (guitar) and Zac (drums).
The newly slimmed down Paramore recently saw their fourth, self-titled, album chart at number one in America, Britain, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.
On May 20 the new single, Still Into You, is released, the follow-up to Now which went online in January.
Since releasing their gold-certified debut album, All We Know Is Falling in 2005, Paramore have had a string of platinum and gold singles, including Misery Business,Crushcrushcrush and That's What You Get from 2007's Riot!, Decode from 2008's Twilight soundtrack, The Only Exception from 2009's platinum brand new eyes, and Monster from 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack.
The forthcoming UK tour will also see the band play Manchester on September 20, Cardiff on September 21, Nottingham on September 24 and London's Wembley Arena on September 27. Says Hayley Williams: "We're so psyched to come back to the UK and play the new songs for everybody.''
