The Tisbury Arts Group are putting on their annual pantomime at the Nadder Centre in Salisbury. Think fairy godmothers, glass slippers, mice, and a pair of ugly stepsisters - it's Cinderella of course. The production will be at the Nadder Centre from Thursday 25th of January till Saturday the 27th of January. Warm up your vocal cords and get ready to yell, "she's behind you!" for an evening of pantomime fun.
In classic pantomime tradition, there always has to be some good guys and some bad guys. Ben Crocker's pantomime script follows the story of Cinderella, with a few different twists. Cinderella wants to go to the ball, but her ugly step sisters are determine to ruin her chances. Of course, like we all know, that's where her fairy godmother steps in to save the day. Prince Charming isn't only there for the romance, he's also off gallivanting around after swapping roles with his faithful sidekick Dandini.
The Tisbury Arts Group put on their first show in 1974. These days they're generally putting on four productions a year: a pantomime or musical, a drama and their annual Carnival Concert. Cinderella follows on from last year's pantomime, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, and 2016's Peter Pan.
Tickets are available for purchase from the box office at the Tisbury Post office, or by calling on 01747 870200. The show is recommended for audiences over 2 years old.
